BARNEGAT LIGHT MUSEUM

Edith Duff Gwinn Garden
Lovingly maintained by The Garden Club of Long Beach Island.
Equally as interesting as the museum building and its historical artifacts, is the surrounding award-winning garden. Its bayberry, red cedar, cactus, and beach plums are typical seashore plants found on a barrier island. The two-fold objective of creating a beautiful setting for the museum and preserving native plants and flowers has been successfully accomplished. So, in a sense, these grounds have become an outdoor natural history museum. Come visit and wander the grounds. The garden is open dawn to dusk year-round.
